NK Široki Brijeg has secured consecutive 2-1 victories in the opening rounds of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League (WWin league). In the second round, the club defeated NK Čelik Zenica away at Bilino polje before approximately 10,000 spectators. After Bartul Markovina opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a header from a corner, Čelik Zenica equalized in the 61st minute through Aldin Hrvanović. David Virgili Fernandez eventually secured the win for the visitors with a strike in the 83rd minute. Following the match, coach Damir Milanović praised the character of his young squad, noting his focus on psychological preparation to handle the intense atmosphere in Zenica. In the third round, Široki Brijeg achieved a comeback victory against Radnik Bijeljina at Pecara stadium. After conceding an early goal in the third minute via a Danilo Teodorović header, Bartul Markovina equalized in the 38th minute. Filip Matić scored the decisive goal on a counterattack in the 51st minute, marking the team’s first home win of the season. With this result, Široki Brijeg remains undefeated after three matches, reaching seven points and temporarily taking the top spot in the league standings.
