The North Carolina women’s soccer season progressed through early September, beginning with the team’s start to ACC play against Cal. At that time, the No. 7 ranked Tar Heels held a 5-1 record. By mid-September, North Carolina secured a 4-2 victory over No. 2 ranked Duke at Dorrance Field. The victory extended North Carolina’s winning streak to seven games, bringing their overall record to 10-1 and their ACC record to 3-0, placing them at the top of the conference standings.
