North Dakota State University (NDSU) began its FBS season with a 33-7 victory over Jacksonville State. Following the win, several players received conference honors: Nathan Hayes was named Offensive Player of the Week, Donovan Woolen was named Defensive Player of the Week, Drew Klein was named Special Teams Player of the Week, and Blake Schiltz was named Freshman of the Week. As the season progresses, NDSU is preparing for a non-conference matchup against the Fordham Rams at the Fargodome. The upcoming game will feature a Military and First Responders Appreciation Day to honor active service members, veterans, and first responders. Now a member of the Mountain West Conference, the Bison have improved to a 3-0 record. Following a 38-32 victory over Air Force, Nathan Hayes, Drew Klein, and Myles Mitchell earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors. During the win against Air Force, Klein set a school record with a 56-yard field goal. NDSU is scheduled to play Sacramento State in California.
