Legal proceedings are ongoing in North Macedonia involving former presidents of the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) regarding allegations of embezzlement. The charges involve the alleged misappropriation of UEFA funds intended for a stadium project in Ohrid. The investigation included raids on multiple locations in Skopje. Several defendants have been released from pre-trial detention following the provision of various guarantees. Ilčo Gjorgjioski was released after the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje court accepted a bail property guarantee exceeding €1.15 million, secured by a mortgage on valued at approximately 508,000 euros; his property. As a precautionary measure, measures include requirements to appear in court and the revocation of his driver's license. Muhamed Sejdini had previously provided a 1,000,000 euro guarantee and had his passport was removed. Subsequently, Ilço Gjorgjioski was also released from detention after providing a €500,000 bank guarantee. The court also lifted pre-trial detention for Tomislav Mladenovski and Gjoko Çubrinovski, replacing it with conditional release and preliminary measures. Çubrinovski were also released from detention. Mladenovski provided a guarantee of 206,000 euros, while Çubrinovski provided a guarantee of 1,600,000 euros.
