Nu Holdings, the parent company of the Brazilian fintech Nubank, has entered preliminary discussions to acquire the British digital bank Monzo. The potential deal, which could involve both cash and stock, is estimated to be valued between £8 billion and £10 billion, a notable increase from Monzo’s £4.5 billion valuation in late 2024. Monzo is currently evaluating several strategic options.
