Nuremberg Airport transitioned to its winter flight schedule on October 25, 2026, featuring over 40 direct connections. This period saw the introduction of easyJet, providing routes to various UK and Italian cities, alongside expanded services from Ryanair to Morocco and Portugal, and new Wizz Air connections to Romania. Seville has also returned to the flight plan. EasyJet has expanded its seasonal operations, launching a route from Manchester. Further winter connections include London Gatwick starting November 19, London Luton from November 23, and Milan Malpensa from November 27. These flights, operating two to four times per week through March, are driven by international demand from the Christkindlesmarkt and major trade fairs. EasyJet representative Stephan Erler noted that the city’s tourism and exhibition potential were key factors in the decision. Looking toward the summer 2027 season, Marabu Airlines is expanding its operations. As part of a strategy to increase its fleet to 14 Airbus A320neo aircraft, the airline will station a third aircraft permanently in Nuremberg starting in June 2027. New direct destinations include Lamezia Terme, Italy, on Mondays and Thursdays, and Preveza, Greece, every Saturday. Existing services to Palma de Mallorca will see doubled daily flights, while service to Olbia, Sardinia, will increase to five times per week. Other destinations include Kavala, Hurghada, Corfu, Kos, Crete, and the Canary Islands. Additionally, starting May 1, 2027, Marabu will update its baggage policies to increase included checked baggage for Economy and Business Class passengers.
