The Omoda 4 compact crossover model has been introduced in different global markets through various automotive exhibitions. In September 2026, Makth Motor unveiled the Ecoda E5 crossover at the Tehran International Auto Show. Based on the Chery Omoda 4 model, the Ecoda E5 is a compact crossover expected to feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. By October 2026, the Omoda Jaecoo group expanded its European presence by debuting the Omoda 4 at the Paris Motor Show. This version is intended for the segment below €30,000 and will be available in both hybrid and electric configurations. The hybrid model utilizes the Chery T1X platform and the SHS-H Super Hybrid System, combining a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with an electric motor to produce approximately 224 hp. The electric version is expected to feature a 61kWh battery with an estimated range of 248 miles (over 450 kilometers). Following the Paris debut, the vehicle was highlighted for its ‘Cyber Mecha’ design language and its ‘Super Intelligent Cockpit’ which utilizes AI for personalized driver interactions. The interior includes an 8.8-inch instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. The model is positioned as an entry-level option for younger, technology-focused consumers. In the United Kingdom and Spain, the Omoda 4 is scheduled for a 2027 launch to compete with models such as the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur. In the UK, starting prices are expected to be below £25,000. Simultaneously, the company has initiated the homologation process in Brazil for a release in the second half of 2027, part of a larger strategy by Chery International Group to introduce seven new vehicles to that region. Additionally, the brand is introducing updates to the Omoda 5, transitioning it to exclusively hybrid and electric powertrains with enhanced digital displays.
