Chinese automaker OMODA has expanded its SUV lineup with high-profile roll-outs in Europe and Southeast Asia. In late July 2026, the company introduced the OMODA 9 plug-in hybrid SUV to the European market, featuring specialized models in Poland and the United Kingdom. In Indonesia, the brand is preparing for a fourth-quarter 2026 launch of the Omoda O4, an electric crossover positioned as ‘The First AI Car for Everyone’. The vehicle, expected to be priced around Rp400 million, features a ‘Cyber Mecha’ design with a drag coefficient of 0.292 Cd. It is powered by a 160 kW motor, offers a 611 km CLTC range, and utilizes a ‘Hacking Reality’ concept involving Cyber Pilot driving assistance and a Cyber Verse in-cabin entertainment system. Jim Ma, Business Unit Director of Omoda & Jaecoo Indonesia, noted the vehicle aims to provide technology previously uncommon in the crossover EV segment.
