One Piece manga chapters ~~1194-1196~~ 1194-1197 developments

The One Piece manga continues the Elbaph Arc through chapters 1194 to ~~1196,~~ 1197, marked by significant power escalations for the Straw Hat crew. In chapter 1194, titled ‘Things Never Stay the Same’, Roronoa Zoro engages in a confrontation with Saint Shepherd Sommers. Sommers utilizes the ‘Iba Launcher’ to summon vine-based beasts, while Zoro employs his ‘Three Sword Style: Panther Koto!’ technique. Following this chapter, the series entered a hiatus. Chapter 1195, titled ‘Weakness’, shows Zoro successfully mastering the coating of Conqueror’s Haki, causing Sommers to attempt to flee in terror. Meanwhile, Brook interacts with Shuri (or Gunko) regarding her connection to the Manmayer family. New revelations also suggest Nefertari Lili may have lived in Elbaph 800 years ago, potentially linking her to Joy Boy and Imu. Sanji continues his battle against Killingham, struggling with physical injuries and internal self-doubt related to a weakness previously mentioned by Ivankov. In chapter 1196, Sanji achieves a major breakthrough by unlocking Conqueror’s Haki. This development follows guidance from Scopper Gaban regarding the necessity of accepting his own greatness to support Luffy. By overcoming the self-limiting tendencies and low self-esteem that previously led him to accept unnecessary combat blows, Sanji’s growth reinforces the concept of him and Zoro serving as the ‘two wings’ of the future Pirate King. Leaked details for chapter 1197 suggest Sanji will continue this evolution by overcoming self-sacrificing tendencies to prioritize his physical well-being. Spoilers indicate he may manifest new, purer flames on his legs, distinct from his previous Ifrit Jambe, and demonstrate advanced Armament Haki. This development is expected to allow him to act as a ‘shield’ for the crew, contrasting with Zoro’s role as the ‘sword’.
