Opel has extended its ‘Start’ entry-level trim strategy beyond the Astra lineup to include the Frontera SUV. This new configuration aims to lower the model’s starting price to approximately €20,530, a reduction of up to €2,500 compared to previous entry-level options. The Frontera range now consists of three trim levels: Start, Edition, and GS. A new 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine producing 100 hp with a six-speed manual transmission is available across all trims. Electrified options remain, including a 110 hp hybrid and a 113 hp fully electric variant equipped with a 44 kWh battery. To maintain affordability, the Frontera Start version utilizes 16-inch black steel wheels, black mirror covers, and black bumper protection. Standard interior features include a 10-inch digital driver display, air conditioning, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a smartphone holder designed to act as the primary interface for media and navigation. The vehicle provides a boot capacity of 460 liters, which increases to roughly 1,600 liters when rear seats are folded. Recent pricing comparisons across European markets show significant variations in the Frontera’s cost. While the model is noted as a popular choice in Hungary, prices fluctuate based on local economic factors and manufacturer strategies. When converted to Hungarian Forint, Germany, North Macedonia, and Poland represent some of the higher price points, with Germany reaching approximately 8,048,300 HUF.
