Opel has introduced its new GSE range, a series of high-performance electric vehicles designed for sporty driving. The lineup includes the Corsa GSE, which serves as the brand’s fastest production model and a successor to the historic GSi and OPC models. The Corsa GSE features a 207 kW (281 hp) electric motor producing 345 Nm of torque, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h. It is powered by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery (51 kWh usable capacity) with a WLTP range of up to 374 km. The vehicle supports fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 21 to 27 minutes. To enhance driving dynamics, the model includes a sport-tuned chassis with a 25 mm lowered suspension, widened track, reinforced stabilizers, a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential, and Alcon brakes. In the United Kingdom, the Vauxhall Corsa GSE was named ‘Hot Hatch of the Year’ at the 2026 News UK Motor Awards. Stellantis has officially opened orders for the 2026 Corsa GSE. In Italy, the list price starts at 39,900 euros, with promotional financing available to reduce the cost to 36,290 euros. The vehicle is expected to make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026, with deliveries anticipated between late 2026 and early 2027. At the Auto Athina 2026 exhibition in Greece, Opel is making the Greek premiere of the Corsa GSE alongside the Mokka and Frontera Hybrid models. Through its ‘Electric ALL IN’ program, the brand is offering incentives for all-electric orders placed during the event, including an eight-year battery warranty, five years of roadside assistance, and a free 22kW Wallbox.
