Overview

The “Turkish World Dialogues: Common Future, Common Vision” panel series, organized by the Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications, continued with its fifth installment in Lefkoşa. This event was part of a series of panels held in member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to prepare for the 13th OTS Summit of Heads of State and Government in Ankara.

During the panel, participants discussed strengthening cooperation across various sectors, including education, economy, transportation, energy, science and technology, defense, media, and culture. Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri, described Northern Cyprus as an “inseparable part of the Turkic world” and a “shining star” in the Eastern Mediterranean for the OTS.

Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Turkish Presidency Directorate of Communications, emphasized the necessity for the Turkic world to utilize “common intelligence and strong coordination” to address global challenges such as energy and food security, irregular migration, cyber threats, and disinformation.
