Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın has been focusing on municipal administration and local development in Bursa. Initially, the Mayor engaged with municipal cleaning staff to recognize their contributions to city cleanliness and to listen to their suggestions. Following these efforts, the administration shifted focus toward addressing long-term challenges such as illegal construction. During a regular council ~~meeting,~~ meetings, Aydın ~~also~~ has provided updates on infrastructure projects, including the construction of a health center in Nilüferköy and plans for a livestock market at the Veysel Karani site, pending legal and zoning finalization. More recently, the Mayor has expanded his focus to include support for local producers and cultural preservation. He visited the Yiğitali Women’s Agricultural Development Cooperative to discuss challenges faced by female producers and to advocate for infrastructure improvements, such as extending natural gas to mountain villages. Additionally, the municipality collaborated with DAĞDER to host the ‘Osmangazi Tarhana İmecesi’ project at Soğanlı Millet Bahçesi. This initiative involved women preparing approximately 80 kilograms of traditional tarhana to preserve cultural heritage and provide support for students in need.
