Pac-12 Cross Country Championships in Boise

The Pac-12 Cross Country Championships were held at the Warm Springs Golf Course in Boise, Idaho, marking the first time a championship trophy was awarded in the new Pac-12 era.

Washington State University achieved significant success, sweeping the individual titles. Solomon Kipchoge won the men’s 8K individual title with a time of 22:46.8, and Nelly Jemeli secured the women’s 6K title in 19:57.0. Both athletes were named Runners of the Year for their respective divisions.

In the women’s competition, Washington State won the overall team title with 50 points, ahead of Boise State with 62 points and Oregon State with 80 points. Utah State finished fourth in the women’s race. Oregon State earned a podium finish, placing third overall and outperforming its pre-meet ranking. Noemi Lundgren led the Beavers with a fourth-place individual finish, earning All-Pac-12 first team honors.

The men’s team championship was claimed by Gonzaga University with 39 points. Utah State followed in second place with 56 points, while Washington State finished third with 59 points. Washington State’s men’s performance included second place finisher Evans Kurui and 11th place finisher Kutoven Stevens. Colorado State placed fifth in the men’s race and sixth in the women’s race.

Following these championships, participating teams are set to compete in the NCAA West Regional championships on November 13 in Sacramento, California.
