In late August, during a workshop in Islamabad, Sharif reiterated that hostile foreign countries are behind the terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that the people of Balochistan hold the primary right to the province’s natural resources, describing the area as one of Pakistan’s wealthiest regions. To address regional development, the government highlighted initiatives such as the Karachi-Chaman dual-carriageway, solar system provisions for Balochistan farmers, and financial support from Punjab.
