Palagano bridge maintenance and reopening

Overview

The Piana di Bernardella bridge on the SP28 provincial road in Palagano is scheduled to reopen to traffic on September 14, 2026. The bridge had been closed since August 24 to allow for extraordinary maintenance and safety upgrades.

Work performed by contractor Stradedil srl included the reconstruction of the road deck slab and the installation of micropiles at the bridge shoulders. Fabio Braglia, President of the Province and Mayor of Palagano, noted that the reopening was timed to restore viability before the school year begins.
