Art exhibitions in Turkey have been organized to highlight Palestinian resistance and the humanitarian situation in Gaza. In late September, the Fatih Municipality in Istanbul hosted ‘Palestine Art Days’ at Medrese Davutpaşa. The event featured artist Süleyman Mansur’s exhibition, ‘Art of Occupation and Resistance’, which explores themes of displacement and the connection between the Palestinian people and their land through various artistic mediums. Following this, the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality opened a multidisciplinary exhibition titled ‘The Tidings of Resistance: Gaza / A Thousand Greetings from Samsun to Gaza’ at Cumhuriyet Square. Coordinated by artist Betül Yurtseven, the exhibition utilizes sculptures, murals, and digital designs—including references to Picasso’s ‘Guernica’ and the Hanzala figure—to showcase the resilience of the Palestinian people and the destruction in Gaza. This exhibition, which includes handmade sculptures, paintings, and installations, is scheduled to remain open until October 31. In Bursa, solidarity efforts expanded to include a ‘Draw for Palestinian Children’ event. During the activity, primary school students created drawings to support their peers in Gaza. Ten-year-old Munzir Yazıcı delivered a speech contrasting his daily life with the hardships faced by children in Gaza, specifically citing the lack of schools, homes, and safety.
