Adding to the diplomatic pressure, President Konstantinos Tasoulas emphasized the importance of reunification during a speech at the British School of Athens, stating that the Parthenon should not remain indefinitely without its sculptures. He suggested that a successful return would serve as a significant symbolic gesture for cultural heritage.

Despite these firm stances, British Museum director Nicholas Cullinan has expressed hope that recent cultural exchanges could provide a ‘ray of hope’ for progress. However, Athens maintains its ‘red line’ against any deal that fails to ensure the full and permanent reunification of the sculptures at the Acropolis Museum.
