In North America, including much of the United States and Canada, visibility is expected to be favorable. In the United States, the partial phase is projected to begin around 10:33 PM EDT, with the maximum eclipse occurring at approximately 12:12 AM EDT on August 28. Observers in Mexico and Argentina will also be able to witness the event. In Mexico, the eclipse will be visible throughout all 32 states. In Mexico City, the penumbral phase begins at 19:23 on August 27, with the maximum point occurring at 22:12. In Ecuador, the Quito Astronomical Observatory reports the partial phase will start at 21:33, reaching its maximum at 23:12 when approximately 93% of the lunar disk enters Earth's shadow. In Colombia, the event is scheduled to begin at 20:24 on August 27, reaching its peak at 23:13. In Europe, visibility varies by location. In Greece, the phenomenon will be visible in the early morning hours; however, because the maximum eclipse occurs at 07:12, observers in Athens may only see the initial stages before the Moon sets at 06:54. In Turkey, the eclipse will be visible in western provinces such as Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Balıkesir, and Çanakkale. The global maximum is expected at 07:12, when approximately 93% of the Moon's surface will be within the Earth's shadow. Observers are advised to seek dark skies to minimize light pollution. Unlike solar eclipses, no special protective eyewear is required to view this lunar event.
