English singer-songwriter Paul Heaton, recognized for his work with The Housemartins and The Beautiful South, has achieved his first solo number one album in the United Kingdom with the release of ‘Jenius’. Produced by Ian Broudie, the record marks Heaton’s sixth career number one. To commemorate the success of the album, Heaton has announced a major tour scheduled for summer 2027 across the UK and Ireland. The tour is set to include arena dates at The O2 in Belfast and the 3Arena in Dublin, as well as a headline performance at Headingley Stadium in Leeds. Additional tour details include a performance in Cork and a headline appearance at Warrington’s Neighbourhood Weekender in May 2027. Heaton, who has sold over 15 million records throughout his career, will be joined by singer Rianne Downey and special guest support Lightning Seeds on the Irish dates. The ‘Jenius’ album features 15 original songs.
