Paul McCartney ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ special edition

Overview

Paul McCartney announced an expanded special edition of his 20th studio album, ‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’. The release includes three previously unreleased tracks—‘City Fox’, ‘One Night Stand’, and ‘Chelsea Boots’—alongside a ‘Flip Mix’ of the duet ‘Home To Us’ featuring Ringo Starr, in which the artists swap vocal parts.

The special edition features new cover art by Kate Gibb, consisting of a silk-screen collage created from over 100 images from McCartney’s personal collection. Digital streaming of the edition commenced on October 7, expanding the original 14-track repertoire to 18 tracks. Physical formats, including CD and a two-disc vinyl set, are scheduled for release on December 9.

The original album, which debuted in May 2026, was McCartney’s first solo collection in over five years and was shortlisted for the 2026 Mercury Prize. The work is noted for its introspective themes, exploring McCartney’s youth in Liverpool and his early experiences with The Beatles. Following its initial release, the record became McCartney’s 24th No. 1 album in the UK and reached the top five in more than a dozen countries.
