Peacock will debut the eight‑episode A24 prequel “Crystal Lake” on October 15, 2026, streaming all episodes simultaneously in the United States. The series reimagines the origin of the “Friday the 13th” myth through Pamela Voorhees (Linda Cardellini) and her son Jason’s drowning, blending classic slasher atmosphere with a psychological thriller tone. Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, who took over the project following the departure of Bryan Fuller, describes the series as a “mix‑tape” of ideas for Pamela’s character. The production features directors Michael Lennox, Celine Held, Logan George and Quyen Tran, with supporting cast including William Catlett, Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, and others.
