Peanuts franchise collaborations in Japan
Overview
The Peanuts franchise is expanding its consumer presence in Japan through various retail and lifestyle collaborations.
In mid-to-late 2026, Japanese retailers GU and Uniqlo announced apparel collections featuring Peanuts characters. GU scheduled a party-themed loungewear line for December 28, featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Woodstock in various colors and styles for adults and children. Uniqlo planned a UT collection for mid-December consisting of 12 items, including six graphic T-shirts, four sweatshirts, and two UV-cut caps designed to capture the characters’ “unique humor and comical expressions.”
Further expansions include a capsule toy line from Bandai, featuring the ‘PEANUTS Mejirushi Accessories SUMMER’ series via Gashapon in the fourth week of October 2026. This collection includes five designs, such as Snoopy wearing sunglasses, Woodstock, and Olaf.
Mary Quant Cosmetics is launching the ‘Mary Quant x Peanuts Design Collection’ on November 4, 2026. This fashion-focused collaboration includes apparel like blousons, pullovers, and hoodies, alongside accessories such as die-cut shoulder bags, pouches, and jewelry featuring embroidered or printed comic art. The beauty brand will also offer limited-edition items, including a “Tone Up Set” in a doghouse-shaped box, an “Essentials Hand Care Set,” and a Snoopy-designed cleansing massage cream.
Additionally, LeSportsac is releasing a 2026 Winter Collection on October 28, which includes a specialty tote bag featuring Snoopy’s face and 3D ears, as well as colorful pouches, sweatshirts, and caps.
