São Paulo FC secured the loan of 20-year-old right-back Pedro Lima from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The agreement, which runs until June 30, 2027, involves Wolverhampton covering 60% of the player's monthly wages. Following the completion of registration processes, Lima made his debut as a starter in a 1-0 victory against Internacional during the 28th round of the Brasileirão. Playing at the Morumbis stadium, Lima completed 73 minutes of play. Coach Dorival Júnior described the player as an “interesting addition to the squad.” During a recent official presentation, Lima revealed that a previous rejection by the club in 2018 prompted him to transition from a defensive midfielder to a right-back, a move that eventually facilitated his current transfer. As the squad enters a FIFA international break, the club is managing various player availability issues. Forward Calleri is set to serve an automatic suspension following his third yellow card of the season. Additionally, several players remain in the medical department, including Lucas Moura, who is recovering from Achilles tendon surgery, as well as Nicolas, Buta, and Newton. Defender Domingos Duarte is currently awaiting further examinations regarding a knee injury.
