Petrobras has identified hydrocarbons in the Morpho exploratory well (1-BRSA-1405-APS) within the Foz do Amazonas Basin. Located in block FZA-M-59, approximately 175 kilometers off the coast of Amapá, the well operates in ultra-deep waters at a depth of 2,886 meters. The presence of hydrocarbons was detected via rock indicators and electrical profiles. While Petrobras has not yet confirmed if the find consists of oil or natural gas, drilling operations continue to evaluate the technical and economic viability of the area.
