A delegation from Pforzheim, Germany, conducted a visit to its Polish partner city, Częstochowa, in September 2026 to strengthen municipal ties. Led by Mayor Peter Boch, the initial phase of the visit focused on urban and economic development, specifically the revitalization of industrial sites, and social policy issues such as the integration of Ukrainian refugees. Following these discussions, the exchange included cultural and athletic activities. Pforzheim athletes participated in the 16th Częstochowa Run, and the delegation engaged in cultural excursions to local museums, the Jasna Góra National Sanctuary, and a football match. The visit also involved meetings with Częstochowa Deputy Mayor Zdzisław Wolski to address shared municipal challenges. Building on this cooperation, an educational exchange is taking place from September 28 to October 7, 2026, involving approximately ten students from Częstochowa visiting Pforzheim. Facilitated by a 20-year partnership between the Pforzheim Goldsmith School and Watchmaking School and the Zespół Szkół Plastycznych art school in Częstochowa, the program focuses on merging traditional craftsmanship with digital design across disciplines such as goldsmithing, graphics, and ceramics. Pforzheim Mayor Frank Fillbrunn welcomed the group at the New Town Hall, stating the partnership allows young people to “share professional experiences and creative ideas across borders.”
