The PGA Tour has announced the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville, scheduled for September 17–20, 2026. Held at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in North Carolina, the tournament marks the professional tour’s return to the Asheville area for the first time since 1942. As the opening event of the FedExCup Fall series, the competition features a 132-player field of players competing for a $5 million total purse. Participants will compete for FedExCup points and Official World Golf Ranking points, with the winner expected to receive nearly $1 million. As of the first round, Max Greyserman and Eric Cole share the lead. Greyserman recorded a 7-under 64 as he seeks to secure his full PGA Tour card for 2027. Cole, who is pursuing his first PGA Tour victory in 131 career starts, held a brief lead following an eighth-hole birdie before finishing his round.
