PGIMER Chandigarh recruitment announcements 2026

In July 2026 the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh issued a series of recruitment notices. On 10 July it announced a walk‑in interview for a senior resident position in the Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology department and provided detailed reporting instructions for candidates selected in the second round of the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET). The interview was set for 21 July, with reporting dates between 11 July and 16 July.

Later in the month, PGIMER released admit cards for its paramedical entrance examination scheduled for 31 July and opened applications for six contractual posts, including research associates and administrative assistants. The paramedical exam offered 113 seats across twelve courses, while the contractual positions carried monthly salaries from INR 6,000 to INR 40,000.

On 1 August 2026 PGIMER announced ten additional research‑related vacancies—Project Research Scientist‑I, Project Research Scientist‑II and Project Technical Support‑II—requiring qualifications from 12th pass up to MBBS, MD/MS, Ph.D. or equivalent. Applications are to be submitted offline by 4 August, with salaries ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹67,000 per month.

The same day the Indraprastha Institute of Medical Sciences (IPIMS) in Panipat issued a faculty hiring notice for 2026, seeking professors, associate and assistant professors, senior residents, tutors, demonstrators and specialist doctors (cardiology, urology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology). Candidates must meet National Medical Commission criteria and apply via email or phone to the Director of Administration.
