Philadelphia Eagles roster and trade speculation

Overview

The Philadelphia Eagles are navigating significant roster instability and trade speculation. Following the retirement of offensive lineman Lane Johnson and the trade of Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens, questions arose regarding whether the team was entering a selloff phase. However, reports indicated the team was not ‘waving the white flag’ and intended to remain contenders, utilizing assets like a 2028 second-round pick for future flexibility.

By mid-October, the team's situation grew more complex as they held a 2-4 record and faced the indefinite loss of quarterback Jalen Hurts to injured reserve due to a blood clot. As the November 10 trade deadline approaches, speculation has intensified around potential moves involving running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Dallas Goedert.
