Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding its international flight network through increased frequencies and new route developments. In late August 2026, the airline announced it would increase service between Manila and Melbourne from five weekly flights to daily operations starting in late November 2026. This expansion is intended to meet high holiday demand and improve cargo capacity between the Philippines and Australia. By late September 2026, PAL announced further expansion plans, including the potential launch of services connecting Australia detailed plans to connect four Australian cities—Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth—to Delhi and Mumbai via Manila, pending Indian government approval. Scheduled to begin in December 2026, these routes will utilize Airbus A321neo aircraft and represent the airline’s first service to Mumbai. The expansion aims to facilitate passenger connections to destinations such as Los Angeles and Vancouver, while also supporting cargo movement between Australia, India, and the Philippines. To promote these services, PAL is offering a limited-time 50% discount on flights from Melbourne and Perth to Manila. Additionally, the airline scheduled the resumption of nonstop Manila-to-Dubai flights for October 2, 2026, following a seven-month suspension caused by regional security concerns and airspace restrictions in the Middle East. This service will initially operate four times a week to support cargo movement and travelers, including overseas Filipino workers.
