In July 2026 Pirelli announced that its 2027 calendar would focus exclusively on India, ~~marking~~ the first time the publication centers on a single country. Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø and Avani Rai – daughter of the late Indian Magnum photographer Raghu Rai – lead the shoot, which features an all‑Indian roster of women including Bhavitha Mandava, Padma Lakshmi, Anoushka Shankar, Freida Pinto and poet‑artist Rupi Kaur. ~~The~~ Making‑of images and video released on 26 July ~~reveal outdoor~~ show the crew working outdoors at locations such as Jaipur’s Jaigarh Fort and the streets of Old Delhi, a ~~departure~~ shift from the calendar’s historic studio‑based, often erotic style.
