Pizza Hut expansion in Japan

Overview

Pizza Hut has been expanding its retail footprint in Japan through various new store openings.

In late September 2026, a takeout-only specialty location opened at Baraki-Nakayama Station in Funabashi City, offering individual-sized items and seasonal products.

By early October 2026, the chain expanded its presence in Kobe. This included the opening of the Kobe Motomachi store, which provides both delivery and takeout services and features a new ‘Mala Tang Pizza’. A second location, the Kobe Sumiyoshi store, was scheduled to open near JR Sumiyoshi Station later in the month.
