PKO Bank Polski has engaged in several regulatory developments involving the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). In August 2026, the bank received KNF approval to launch a new portfolio management service. This offering, targeted at private banking clients and institutions, allows users to select expert-prepared strategies or create custom ones. Notably, the bank will allow clients to combine state savings bonds with other asset classes, such as international instruments and Polish stocks. In September 2026, further details emerged regarding this service, which is also aimed at foundations and family foundations. The offering includes alternative strategies and debt strategies denominated in euros and US dollars, which are managed by licensed investment advisors. Concurrently, the bank is contesting 47.5 million PLN in fines imposed by the KNF regarding structured deposits offered between 2021 and 2023. The regulator cited irregularities, including a 26 million PLN penalty for failing to disclose conflicts of interest that allegedly affected client interest rates and bank margins. PKO BP has filed an appeal, stating it disagrees with the Commission’s position.
