The Bucharest branch of the National Liberal Party (PNL) has implemented a series of leadership changes by appointing interim presidents for several sectors. Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan faces criticism from the Government Employees Union (SAALG) following an investigation by DNA Iași into Deputy Secretary General Cristina Trăilă. Bolojan has defended his recent meeting with the President of the Constitutional Court as a “standard official procedure.” Furthermore, Alin Tișe, President of the Cluj County Council, has accused the government of “administrative sabotage” through a new law that could render various local councilors in the health, education, and legal sectors incompatible with their current roles. This instability is compounded by a looming deadline regarding the Salary Law; failure to adopt it could result in the loss of 770 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
