Political tension has escalated in Podgorica involving Mayor Saša Mujović. The dispute began with challenges from Assembly member Ksenija Aranitović, who accused the Mayor of failing to fulfill his legal duties regarding the management of the municipal company Deponija d.o.o. Specifically, Aranitović questioned the appointment of Aleksandar Božović as executive director, alleging he lacked the required five years of management experience. Following a shift in the City Assembly's majority, which resulted in the election of Assembly President Srđan Perić and the unanimous rejection of the Mayor’s work report, Mujović announced he will not resign.
