The project aims to provide door-to-door transport solutions for both logistics companies and commuters, utilizing rail as a high-capacity, energy-efficient backbone. Recent developments highlight the project’s focus on automation and autonomy. The initiative, which has received nearly three million euros in EU funding, aims to revolutionize European transport by using autonomous capsules that can be automatically transferred at specific nodes. This capability is intended to facilitate seamless travel from rural areas to mountain destinations by integrating road vehicles, trains, and cable cars.
