Polish farmers and property taxpayers are approaching a September 15 deadline to pay the third installment of their 2026 taxes. For agricultural tax, the third installment is due by September 15. This tax applies to lands classified as agricultural use, such as arable land, orchards, permanent meadows, and pastures. Eligible taxpayers include landowners, possessors, perpetual usufructuaries, and certain lessees. The 2026 tax rate is based on the average rye purchase price from the previous 11 quarters, set at 66.42 PLN per 1 dt. This is a notable decrease from the 86.34 PLN per 1 dt used in 2025. Maximum rates for 2026 are 166.05 PLN per conversion hectare for agricultural land and 332.10 PLN for other land types, though local governments may lower the rye price used for calculations. Regarding real estate taxes, individuals pay based on decisions issued by their local municipality, while legal entities and companies pay via annual tax declarations. For those with an annual liability exceeding 100 PLN, the four installment dates are March 15, May 15, September 15, and November 15. Taxpayers with liabilities under 100 PLN are required to pay the full amount during the first period. Recent updates indicate that the September 15 deadline also applies to forest tax payments and the second installment for transport tax, which covers owners of buses and vehicles with a permissible total mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes. Additionally, in Bełchatów, residents are reminded to settle municipal waste management fees for July, August, and September by mid-September.
