European TV discount wave expands Aug 2026

The price‑cut wave that began in late May 2026 with deep discounts on large‑screen OLEDs in Poland kept expanding through July and into August, reaching new models, formats and markets across Europe. In Italy, Amazon promotions expanded in mid-August to include a wider variety of technologies. While LG NanoCell NANO80 55-inch models were priced at €347.60, the Sony BRAVIA 2 II 65-inch model reached a record low of €683, a discount of approximately 28%. Further reductions appeared for TCL and Samsung models, including a 39% discount on the 55-inch Samsung QE55S83HAEXZT OLED and a 29% discount on the 55-inch Samsung UE55M80HAUXZT Mini LED. A 43-inch Samsung Mini LED model also saw a 20% reduction, while the 75-inch TCL 75T8C QLED was featured among the discounted stock. In Germany, the trend continued into August with MediaMarkt offering a 10% discount on the 65-inch LG OLED C5 via membership coupons, priced at approximately €1,170. Additionally, Lidl announced a promotion for August 17 featuring the 65-inch Samsung S85F OLED at €849, a reduction of over 70% from its suggested retail price. MediaMarkt also offered Samsung S90F series models with reductions exceeding 60% via member promotions, pricing 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch variants between approximately €917 and €1,699. By late August, high-end OLED discounts reached Spain, where MediaMarkt offered the Samsung S83H 55-inch OLED for approximately €799.20 through membership discounts. In Mexico, PcComponentes provided a €700 discount on the Philips 65OLED820. Newer mid-August promotions have expanded to Philips 4K televisions. In Germany, OTTO offered the Philips 55PUS7800/12 55-inch QLED at €379, a 49% reduction. In France, Amazon discounted the Philips 55PUS8200 55-inch 4K LED TV with Ambilight technology to €379. By early September, promotional activity continued on major e-commerce platforms.
