On 11 August, Deputy Minister of National Defence Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka addressed the siren system deficiencies, stating that recent failures demonstrated the current system is “ineffective”. While the Ministry of Interior and Administration manages the sirens, the Ministry of National Defence (MON) is working to improve information flow between military and civilian warning services, including using SMS alerts for military activities like fighter jet scrambles.
