Communities across Poland are organizing various events to commemorate the upcoming National Independence Day on November 11, 2026, marking the 107th anniversary of the country regaining its independence. Athletic commemorations include running events in Kraków and Drzewianowo. In Kraków, the Independence Run features a 10 km route and a symbolic 1,918-meter mile, where participants wear red or white shirts to create a “human Polish flag.” In Drzewianowo, the 16th edition of the Independence Run offers various distances for children, youth, and adults. Other sporting activities include the XII Elbląg Independence Run, which offers specialized distances for children, and a 28 km cycling rally in Rawicz organized by PTTK. Community runs and marches are also scheduled in Sędziejowice and Dzikowiec. Cultural and artistic programs are widespread. In Poznań, the Teatr Wielki will host a Marshal's Concert featuring a ballet performance dedicated to choreographer Conrad Drzewiecki, with tickets available for a symbolic one zloty. Szczecin will host a sound art performance by Moe Nagasi exploring the relationship between technology and sound, while the Perform[ing] Poland review will showcase contemporary performance art in Poznań. In Łososina Dolna, a youth football tournament titled the Independence Tournament is scheduled. Other local celebrations include patriotic gatherings and ceremonies. In Lipinki, the first official ceremonies will include the unveiling of an Independence Monument. In Tomaszów Lubelski, the ‘Singing for Independence’ event will feature communal singing of patriotic and legionary songs around a bonfire. In the Rudna municipality, activities include Holy Masses for the Fatherland and ceremonies at monuments. In Trzcińsko-Zdrój, festivities include a patriotic concert titled “Na Skrzydłach Wolności” featuring the band SZYK, a solemn mass, and a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Wieliszew plans a two-day program featuring the Stanisław Moniuszko Folk Culture Festival and an attempt to break a record for the largest communal polonaise dance. Additional regional festivities include a musical and dance performance by the Młody Krąg Song and Dance Ensemble in Przecław. In Racibórz, celebrations will include a mass for the Fatherland, flower laying at the Mother Pole Monument, and a historical picnic in the Market Square featuring military displays from the 1918–1920 period.
