In late July 2026, Polish designers showcased how to maximise limited living space. A project by AVO Architekci transformed a 65‑square‑metre apartment with a soft‑minimalist palette, natural wood, and clever built‑ins, while a series of small‑salon makeovers demonstrated wall removals, multifunctional furniture and bold colour accents to optimise compact homes. The following day, a design guide highlighted the challenges of tiny Polish bathrooms, noting that most are under 10 m². It identified common mistakes such as oversized vanities and inadequate storage, and offered solutions like integrated storage, wall‑mounted fixtures and vertically laid neutral tiles to create height. The guide also addressed accessibility, recommending barrier‑free hotel rooms with wider doors, walk‑in showers and anti‑slip flooring for senior travellers. A later guide expanded the focus to bedroom and living‑room furnishings, explaining how to choose nightstands that provide built‑in storage versus simple bedside tables, and advising on dimensions, style and material to keep bedrooms organized. It also recommended compact corner sofas or small‑scale sofas with integrated sleeping or storage options, emphasizing light colours, simple lines, raised legs and multifunctional pieces to preserve a sense of spaciousness. Together, the snapshots illustrate an ongoing focus on space‑saving and inclusive design solutions for Poland’s small‑apartment market.
