On a macroeconomic level, Poland reported a real GDP growth of 3.8% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, while inflation was recorded at 3.0% in July. This growth is being supported by a surge in investment activity. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which constitute 99.8% of all Polish companies, are driving increased demand for financing. In 2025, investment credit sales for SMEs grew by 34.4%. PKO Bank Polski president Szymon Midera noted that credit is becoming essential for economic development, driven by a new investment cycle and the influx of EU funds. However, business stability remains a concern, as only 68.4% of companies established in 2024 survived their first year.
