Polish health resorts are undergoing infrastructure expansions to address increasing visitor numbers. In Busko-Zdrój, a project valued at nearly 9 million PLN is underway to expand the Dom Zdrojowy facility. The expansion adds approximately 600 square meters near the Spa Park to house a Tourist Information Center, concert and conference halls, a mineral water tasting room, and a cafe. This project Construction is expected currently in progress, with foundations poured and walls standing; officials expect the building to be completed ready and connected by May 2026, though previous estimates suggested completion by April 2027. Additionally, Mayor Jerzy Szydłowski has announced preparations for a new Science Center for Water and Sulfur in Busko-Zdrój. Planned for the site of the former ‘Górka’ sanatorium, the facility aims to combine science, education, and entertainment through interactive exhibits, laboratories, and a small cinema. The project may be partially funded by savings from other municipal tenders. In Latoszyn-Zdrój, authorities have launched a tender for a new sanatorium costing approximately 30 million PLN. The facility is intended to provide medical and accommodation services for over 70 patients across 40 rooms. This development follows a reported surge in visitors to the area, which grew from 18,000 in 2023 to over 120,000 by September 2026. The sanatorium is slated for completion by the end of 2028.
