Local government bodies across various Polish municipalities are conducting continue to conduct administrative and budgetary proceedings. In mid-August, councils in Jasło, Kamienna Góra, and Siemianowice Śląskie scheduled sessions to address spatial development, teacher regulations, public transport fees, and 2026 budget adjustments. By late August, further developments included the approval of one million PLN in Włodawa to support the Independent Public Health Care Center, the progression of Katowice’s participatory budget into a public voting phase for 214 projects, and the scheduling of a session in Lipnica Murowana to discuss student transportation and potential city status. In late August, participatory budgeting initiatives expanded across several regions. In Mazovia, residents began voting on the 7th edition of the Participatory Budget, involving 333 projects and 30 million PLN in funding. In Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, 39 projects are competing for 1.44 million PLN. Administrative sessions also continued, with the Tarnobrzeg County Council and Mielec City Council scheduled to discuss budget changes, personnel, and urban planning, including industrial zone developments in Rzochów. Additionally, the Olkusz City Council planned sessions regarding spatial planning, while the Bolesławiec County Council focused on budget amendments and road safety. In Lipnica Murowana, local festivities included the ‘O Lipową Wieżę’ chess tournament.
