Despite the incident, Polish boxer Kacper Meyna won the WBA Continental heavyweight title during the event. Following this, during During an official state visit to the Philippines, President Nawrocki participated in a boxing training session with eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao in Manila. While the presidential office and supporters framed the session as a positive way to connect with social groups, political opponents criticized the optics and questioned the diplomatic appropriateness of the activity during a state visit. This training session has intensified the debate in Poland. Secretary of State Marcin Przydacz defended the event, arguing it serves as “effective informal promotion for Poland through sports.” However, journalist Konrad Piasecki and NBA legend Marcin Gortat expressed skepticism regarding its promotional value and appropriateness during a political mission. Following the public interest shown by the President, the combat sports federation KSW has extended an open invitation for Nawrocki to attend an upcoming gala.
