Ongoing regulatory scrutiny in Poland has highlighted persistent issues with ingredient transparency and microbial contamination. An audit by the Polish Food Quality Inspection (IJHARS) into raw beef kebab manufacturers found that 50% of tested samples contained undeclared ingredients, specifically poultry meat and water buffalo meat. Labeling errors were identified in 62.5% of the batches, including incomplete product names, missing ingredient details, and inaccurate country-of-origin statements. Public health concerns have intensified following multiple warnings from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) regarding bacterial and physical contamination. Further warnings were issued regarding a beef-pork Bolognese sauce (batch number 154) manufactured by Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Handlowo-Usługowe Jóźwiak Dorota Jóźwiak and distributed by Rzeźnictwo Zyguła Zbąszynek, following reports of glass fragments.
