Polish speedway competition results

Polish speedway riders have achieved various successes in domestic and European competitions. In August, Oskar Kręglicki won the sixth round of the Individual 2. Ekstraliga U19 Cup in Ostrow, scoring 14 points. The event included a crash during the sixth race that caused damage to the air fence. By September, Polish riders expanded their success to the European stage. Maciej Janowski secured his first career Speedway Euro Championship (SEC) victory at the second round in Güstrow, Germany, scoring 13+2 points to triumph in a decisive race against Jan Kvech and Michael Jepsen Jensen. However, the event saw mixed results for the Polish team, as Kacper Woryna was excluded from a final restart after hitting the barrier. Additionally, Kevin Małkiewicz claimed the individual European Under-19 championship title in Krško, Slovenia, finishing with a perfect score of 15 points. In the PGE Ekstraliga, PRES Toruń defeated Orlen Oil Motor Lublin 48:42 in the first semi-final match. This victory marked Toruń’s first win on the Lublin track since 1995, ending a 31-year drought. Norick Bloedorn was a key performer for the visitors, scoring 9 points plus two bonuses. Following the race, riders Emil Sajfutdinow and Bartosz Zmarzlik criticized the track conditions, stating that racing was ‘limited primarily to the inner curb.’ Zmarzlik noted that riders were unable to find grip outside of the curb and emphasized that the team would focus on the rematch in Toruń to fight for a place in the final. Other domestic results include Bartosz Bartkowiak winning the first Polish Championship final in the 85-140 ccm class in Wawrowo. More recently, Stal Gorzów won a local derby against Falubaz Zielona Góra with a score of 47:43, though Falubaz retains their overall lead in the two-match series.
