In late July and early August 2026 Poland offered a concentrated series of observable celestial phenomena. On 17 July a striking Moon‑Venus conjunction was visible across central Poland, prompting informal viewing. The following day, 29 July, a full Moon (the “Buck Moon”) illuminated followed by the night sky, and “Buck Moon” on 30 29 July the country experienced its deepest and a deep partial solar eclipse of the year, with on 30 July that obscured up to 85 % obscuration of the Sun in many regions. A week later, on 12 August, a free public event on 12 August in Skierniewice combined the evening’s partial solar eclipse with the peak of the Perseid meteor shower with a shower, providing telescopic viewing, workshops and family activities. These coordinated events illustrate Poland’s effort to promote public astronomy in Poland during a period of heightened rich natural sky displays.
