Tourism data for the 2026 summer season highlights Kołobrzeg as a leading destination for Polish travelers. During this period, domestic seaside locations and mountain destinations shared equal popularity, each accounting for 39 percent of reservations. Among Baltic Sea resorts, Kołobrzeg was the top choice, followed by Mielno, Gdańsk, Międzyzdroje, and Pobierowo. While Kołobrzeg remains a primary domestic choice, international trends show Turkey as the most popular destination for those using tour operators, chosen by 28.3 percent of clients, followed by Greece (18 percent) and Egypt (13.6 percent). Economic indicators show the average cost per reservation for Polish travelers rose to 9,513 PLN, up from 9,163 PLN the previous year. Recent shifts in the tourism landscape show Kołobrzeg overtaking Międzyzdroje as the most frequently booked destination. Although the average length of stay has decreased to 3.8 nights, the total value of sales rose by nearly 25 percent year-over-year. This growth is driven by a preference for higher standards, with over half of all bookings made at 4- and 5-star hotels or luxury resorts, contributing to a 6.3 percent increase in average nightly prices. On a regional level, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship has emerged as a major tourism hub. The region holds 18.3 percent of Poland’s total accommodation capacity and maintains an occupancy rate of 47.1 percent, which is higher than the national average of 40.1 percent. Efforts to promote year-round tourism along the Polish Baltic coast have led wellness and boutique resorts to target the autumn season. In Międzyzdroje, THE SEA Wellness Resort is opening for its first autumn season, focusing on adult wellness with amenities such as saunas with sea views and a pool. Near Kołobrzeg, the Nickel Resort & Wellnest in the Grzybowo area is offering seasonal stays centered on spa treatments, yoga, and proximity to pine forests.
