Production of the Polish sitcom Ranczo has resumed after a ten-year hiatus with a six-episode eleventh season, Ranczo: Zemsta wiedźm, slated for broadcast on TVP. The revival uses a previously unknown 2015 screenplay by the late Andrzej Grembowicz, adapted by his son Marcin Grembowicz. Filming began in June 2026 and wrapped in August. Creator-director Wojciech Adamczyk returns to helm the revival. A large portion of the classic cast—including Cezary Żak, Ilona Ostrowska, Artur Barciś, Jacek Kawalec, Violetta Arlak, Piotr Ligienza, Magdalena Kuta, and Marta Lipińska—are confirmed to reprise their roles. New additions include Daniel Olbrychski, Andrzej Seweryn, Dorota Stalińska, Katarzyna Maciąg, the Chapko sisters, and Michał Królikowski. Actor Piotr Pręgowski will return as Patryk ‘Pietrek’, noting the character will appear changed by the passage of time. The production has addressed several casting sensitivities. To honor the memory of deceased actors, the series will not recast the roles of Paweł Królikowski (Kusy) or Franciszek Pieczka; instead, actor Cezary Żak stated the director decided these characters will exist within the plot in a passive capacity. Regarding departures, Eli Romanowska (Jola) will not return, having noted she was not offered the role despite describing her time on the show as a ‘fantastic adventure.’ Additionally, Agnieszka Pawełkiewicz (Kinga) will be absent, reportedly due to dissatisfaction with the script. While initial broadcast targets were late autumn, recent updates indicate a December 2026 premiere for this final season. TVP stated the episodes are intended to provide a “beautiful closure to the story of the residents of Wilkowyje.” However, initial reactions to the released trailer have been mixed, with some viewers criticizing the visual style, citing unusual coloring and framing that some have compared to AI-generated imagery.
